Reception to Year Six
Making the decision as to which school your child will attend is one of the most important decisions you will make. We're delighed that you're considering our school.
For entry to Reception through to Year Six, admittance to Robert Sandilands is managed by West Berkshire Council Admissions Team (Contact on 01635 551111).
Important Dates For September 2026 Reception Intake
Closing date for applications (send directly to West Berkshire LA) - 15th January 2026
National Allocation Day (offers made to parents) - 16th April 2026
Closing date for parents to return offer acceptance to school - 15th May 2026

Reception to Year 6 Out of Year Admission
Applications outside the normal admissions round, parents can make an application for West Berkshire School Places at any time in the year. This is known as an 'In Year Application'. These are also handled by the West Berkhire Admissions team and they will be able to tell you if there are places available in the year group you are looking for. Nursery Admissions
We have our own Admissions policy for Nursery children. We take children from the term after their third birthday. We run morning sessions from 9am to 12.05pm, Monday - Friday.
As the year progresses, we invite the children to stay for our Nursery Lunch Club. There is a set number of spaces and runs on certain days from 12.05pm - 1pm for a small charge.
We welcome you to register your interest in a Nursery place from your child's second birthday. To do this, please complete the application form and send to the school office. Please note this does not guarntee you a place.
